Over the last ten years, our Australian-owned and operated business has invested in state-of-the-art machinery that has allowed us to provide the fastest production times of any signage manufacturer in Australia. Whether you need one sign, or thousands, we can help.

Before you click order, you probably want to know: what is a Corflute® sign, where can they be used, and how do they differ from Foam PVC Signs and Signflute™ Signs?

Let’s talk about how this signage option is made, how it holds up in the great outdoors, and whether it’s the right option for you.

How Are Corflute® Signs Made?

So, what is a Corflute® sign?

Corflute® Signs are made from a lightweight plastic material called corrugated polypropylene.

This material looks a bit like cardboard, but instead of paper, it’s made from plastic, with two smooth outer layers and a fluted layer in between.

This fluted design gives the signs both strength and structure.

Corflute® Signs are made by cutting large sheets of corrugated plastic to size.

Then the design, whether that’s text, logos, or full-colour images, is printed directly onto the surface using UV-resistant inks. If you’re ordering from Easy Signs, then the extra UV inhibitors in the genuine Corflute® material will give you a 30% longer lifespan than a comparable imported product.

Are Corflute® Signs Weatherproof?

Corflute® Signs are made from plastic, which means they can handle sun, wind, and rain without falling apart.

That’s why they’re great for outdoor use, like on fences, walls, or at events.

Just keep in mind that while these signs are tough, they’re not made to last forever—after an extended period in harsh weather, they may start to fade or wear down over time.

How Long Do Corflute® Signs Last Outdoors?

Most Corflute® signs last 3 to 6 months outdoors, sometimes longer if the weather is mild.

However, Easy Signs uses genuine Corflute® corrugated plastic, which is manufactured in Australia by Corex.

For that reason, we are able to provide a 2 year warranty on our digitally printed Corflute® Signs, which you certainly won’t get from your imported corrugated plastic signs!

Factors like heavy rain, strong wind, or constant sun can wear Corflute® signs out faster, while signs placed in shade or under cover tend to last longer.

To try and make sure you get the most use out of your Corflute® Signs, you should :

  • Place signs in shaded areas to reduce direct sunlight and weather damage.
  • Avoid windy spots, as strong wind can bend or tear signs over time.
  • Mount securely with zip ties or screws to prevent flapping and wear.
  • Bring signs in during extreme weather, as heavy rain or storms will shorten their lifespan.

Where to Use Corflute® Signs

Ultimately, Corflute® signs can be used anywhere you need your message displayed prominently, but we often find that our custom Corflute® signs are used for :

  • Real estate signs: From “For Sale” to “Sold”, and open home boards, Corflute® signs are lightweight and easy to install (and then remove from) lawns or fences.
  • Event signage : Great for festivals, markets, expos, and community events—perfect for wayfinding, directions, or booth branding.
  • Construction and safety signs : Display site safety rules, PPE requirements, or restricted access zones with clear and durable messaging.
  • Retail and promotional displays : Ideal for store specials, limited-time offers, or point-of-sale displays.
  • Election and campaign signs : Popular with political candidates to display names, party branding, and voting information.
  • Directional or informational signs : Used in carparks, business parks, and school events to help guide foot or vehicle traffic.
  • Temporary business signage : Great for pop-up shops, trade stands, or businesses under renovation.
  • School or community notices : Weatherproof options for promoting fundraisers, fairs, or local services.
